2017 Spring Trends

2017 Spring Trends

Although February in Indiana, 70 degree temps snuck in and tricked everyone into thinking Spring was here…for a day. Now back to snowy weather, my mood is ready for Spring, and I have been on the hunt for the cutest finds for the warm weather that will eventually return.

As far as trends go, I have never fully been into trends. I tend to stick to classics that can stay in my closet for awhile. However, when it comes to spring, the trends usually include fun colors and feminine dresses and I can never say no. So let’s get into what to be on the lookout for, and some great options to shop you can locate at the bottom of this post!

Embroidery

Embroidery snuck through earlier this winter, but I don’t see it going away for a while. Embroidered roses seem to be most popular–found on dresses, tops, purses, and even delicate flats. I think this is beyond feminine and it reminds me of the 1950’s; embroidery was very popular to add detail on simple pieces. See my favorite versions at the bottom!
Statement Earrings

I’m so happy to see statement earrings are on trend as I have always been a fan! I feel like they can dress up any outfit! As for where to buy, my favorite selections always come from BaubleBar. They are always on point and decently priced. BaubleBar actually came out with a location you can find at Target, which I am beyond excited about!

Romantic Garden Party

We saw florals come in strong in 2016, but this year its about finding ethereal pieces–light to the touch, thin fabric, eluding a feminine and romantic feeling. These pieces are probably my most favorite trend. I’m so happy to see dresses coming back.

 Ruffle on Ruffle

Ruffles were everywhere during NYFW, and were most popular on updated oxford shirts and hemlines of dresses. I love a good ruffle, but it does have to be at the right location and not over the top.

There are many other upcoming Spring trends, but these were my favorite and ones that I felt could fit into your every day life. Happy Shopping! Click the arrows to view more!
